Archive

Our collection has been gradually built up since the Society’s foundation in 1966. This has been catalogued and contains a large number of personal and place names making it a good source of material for local and family historians.

  • Documents
  • Books
  • Maps
  • Newspapers
  • A large and important collection of photos and digital images relating to local families, property, church, schools, events  etc.

The society archive catalogue uses the Epexio system to provide a platform for members and the general public to search, browse and enquire about our extensive collection. The catalogue can be searched by computer in the Research Room and is also available online.

Cataloguing the collection is an ongoing activity, with new items and collections added on a regular basis.
