The research room is well equipped with computers, viewers, desks and reference books.

Give you any advice and support you want.
Some material such as newspapers, parish registers and censuses are on microfilm. It may be necessary to book to make sure a machine is free when you visit.
A research service is available if you can’t visit in person, just email your requirements and a volunteer will get back to you.
The research room also contains an interesting stock of books which are arranged in 3 main categories:
History and Topography of the Bromyard and District area as covered by the Society.
General books on aspects of Herefordshire containing information relevant to Bromyard and books on adjacent towns such as Ledbury, Bromyard and Hereford.
A section on background and reference books which include items invaluable to those undertaking both local and family history research.
We have an almost complete set of the Transactions of the Woolhope Field Club from 1852 to date. These are fully indexed and contain a wealth of historical, archaeological, and natural history material covering the whole of the County.
We also have a comprehensive collection of pamphlets advising on how to go about specific areas of research.
